I feel incredibly honored to have been chosen as this month's winner considering the high caliber of photos entered. This was an amazing bathroom and for this shot, I opted to shoot a bit tighter. I took my time in this bathroom, walking around a bit to find the best compositions. Shooting the entire shower felt a bit too much so I wanted to show just enough of it to show context while also showing a bit of it in the mirror, which was a happy coincidence.
I did use a tiny bit of light on this from an AD200 but only to bring back some of the view and get rid of the window bloom. This particular client wanted the lights on for this shoot but I'm not always a huge fan of that look so I shot with lights on and off and hand-blended just a bit of the lights into the lights-off image. It was shot with a Canon R5 and the 24mm TS-E II, mostly edited in Lightroom and finished in Photoshop.
