About PhotographyForRealEstate.net

The PhotographyForRealEstate.net website was founded in 2006 and has been the go-to resource for amateur and experienced photographers alike, garnering over 1.2 million views since its start. Also known by the acronym PFRE, the site has grown to provide a wide range of education for the interior photography community, including a community forum, yearly conference, and monthly photo contests.

Larry Lohrman

Larry Lorhman is the founder of the PFRE website, blog, and community. Larry actually got his start as a real estate photographer by helping his wife with her business. She was a realtor in the Pacific Northwest, and Larry took over the photography duties for her growing realty business. As time went on, Larry began providing photography advice to other agents in the office.

It wasn’t long before he started documenting the advice and tips he was providing, and he did that on PhotographyForRealEstate.net. For 13 years, Larry provided the real estate and interior photography community with over 3,200 blog articles, focused at helping these photographers produce better images and run more successful businesses.

Over the decades, Lorhman came to be known as one of the founding influencers in the real estate photography industry. Lorhman is a published author of many books, including the popular “The Business of Real Estate Photography“. He collaborated with highly recognized interior and architectural photographer Scott Hargis on "The Essential Guide to Lighting Interiors”. He also collaborated significantly on the successful Enfuse Workshop with Simon Maxwell.

Brandon Cooper

In 2019, Brandon Cooper took over the PhotographyForRealEstate.net website for Larry, and has been the owner/operator for several years. Brandon has been a professional real estate photographer since 2011.

Based out of Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada, Brandon runs Realpics, a successful volume based real estate photography business that photographs 750-1000 homes per year offering photography, videography, 3D tours, and measurement services.

Cooper has been active in the interior photography community for over a decade now, winning his first PFRE Photographer of the Month award in April 2015. In 2016, he went on to win the award three months in a row, a feat that had never previously been accomplished, and completed the year by winning the acclaimed PFRE Photographer of the Year 2016.

In 2016, Brandon partnered up with popular photographer Tony Colangelo to travel around North America providing education and in-person workshops to budding real estate photographers. PFRE went on to partner with Colangelo on his online tutorial "The Art & Science of Great Composition", teaching real estate photographers advanced composition techniques to improve their photos.

Brandon founded the PMRE Conference, which has rapidly grown into the premier educational event for professional and amateur real estate and interior photographers. The conference’s first year attracted over 275 people to its live event in Las Vegas, while its second year was attended by over 500 people online.

Beyond the website, the Photography for Real Estate community has grown to include a number of channels:
