  1. Such a striking image. I love how it’s mostly very cool except for those little bits of warmth from the house lights. And all those palm trees with their reflections…wow. Normally I wouldn’t want to see so much pool, but I don’t completely mind it here, due to the wonderful reflections (maybe just a little could be shaved off the bottom?) I do wish this had been shot less wide, but I’m assuming backing up and zooming in was not an option? One thing that might help it feel not quite so wide: The two leftmost chairs could be turned to face the camera a bit more squarely. Would also love to see the illumination of the windows evened out a bit. And not sure…are some of the window coverings closed? Or opened but the lights are off? I think if there were more consistency in the look of the windows, the house would have a much tidier feel to it. Also, there is some strangeness in the sky and trees…some white outlining, as well as some areas of almost-white sky amongst the palm fronds. Was this caused by darkening the sky?

  2. Nice shot. I'd like to see some of the bottom cropped out and it's a shame the house lights aren't consistent across the whole width.
