Here's what Kris has to say:

I am deeply honored to have been named Photographer of the Month in a competition filled with such incredible talent. The photographs entered this month were truly some of the best I've ever seen, and it’s humbling to be recognized among them.

The winning shot is a flash ambient blend, where I used hard light thrown from outside the windows to achieve the desired effect. This technique allowed me to capture the scene in a way that brought out the best of the natural and artificial light, creating the hard shadows I love.
