What Realtors Need to Know About Photography Now in Four Languages

Published: 09/12/2013
By: larry

LeonidMuttiI just heard from Leonid Mutti today. He has finish translating the free What Realtors Need to Know About Photography (the white link on the left side-bar of the blog) e-book to Italian. This Italian translation is now available on Leo's site Photopano.it.

Thanks also to Oliver Zielinski for translating it into German and Andrey Khrolenok for translating it into Russian. The Russian version is here, and the German version is available on Oliver's site.

If anyone else is interested in translating this free e-book to their favorite language just let me know and I'll send you the files. The source file is in Adobe InDesign CS6 although if you'd rather I believe I can export a MS word file from the PDF. Just let me know, and I'll send you the source files and photos. The purpose of this free e-book is to educate real estate agents on the importance of using professional photography.

  1. Thank you Larry for the great job, and for the post 😉
If any italian reader will find thing to change in my doc, the can just write me a mail.

  2. There are many things REALTORS don't understand about photography and photographers, but one thing we all need to understand is that the term "REALTOR" is a registered trademark of the National Association of REALTORS. A REALTOR is a member of the National Association of REALTORS. It doesn't just mean a person holds a real estate license.

Larry, please don't change anything. Consider this a rant, though I really mean it more like a public service announcement.

I have purchased many of the eBooks on this site and consider the work Larry has done to be of great service to the RE Photography community. I use and recommend the "What REALTORS Need to Know.." download and am quite happy that it is now in other languages.

  3. @Lee - You are absolutely right. I should have always had a trademark symbol on the word and had it capitalized... I'd thought about that several times but never got around to fixing it. As it turns out, over the years it has become clear that the title should be, "What Home Sellers Need To Know About Photography", since it's not just REALTORS... that's way to narrow.

The problem is fixed in all the translations. e.g. Leo's title, "Cosa i mediatori devono sapere della fotografia" translates to: "What brokers need to know about photography".

  4. Hi Larry,

thanks for the post. I would like to volunteer to translate the book into Ukrainian language and share it among real estate agents throughout the country.
Would you please send me source files (CS6 ID).

    Thank you.
