Sponsored Post Saturday: Zoner Photo Studio

*Disclaimer: Zoner Photo Studio is for Windows only.

If you've never heard of Zoner Photo Studio? Here's what you need to know.

For many photographers, Zoner Photo Studio might be the proverbial new kid on the block. But ZPS is actually a long-time player in the world of digital photo editing. With a streak of massive feature upgrades in the past couple of years, there has never been a better time to put it on your radar. If you've ever asked yourself, "How can I speed up my workflow?", then keep on reading and have a look at some of the new features that ZPS has to offer for Windows.

Advanced Photo Management Tool

ZPS works directly with photos on your hard drive and does not lock your photos in a "catalog prison". That's why many professionals keep implementing it into their workflow as a fast and reliable digital asset. ZPS can be your complete photo archive manager.

The manager part (or Module) of ZPS offers you star ratings, color tags, keywords, outstanding RAW+JPG management, GPS & mapping, and many other features--including batch editing all of the metadata information at one time.

A Faster Approach to Culling Your Photos

Zoner Photo Studio works differently than competing software. You can get right to the culling of photos without having to wait until the software processes all the raw files. If you do need to pre-load all the raw files, then ZPS can do that too.

You can also customize the software to suit your style and the way you work with photos. And don't forget, you are still working with the files on your hard drive so you can move them at any time, or open them in another program.

Batch editing Is All about Saving Time

Another cool feature of ZPS is the batch filter which enables you to process tens, hundreds, or even thousands of photos at once. Pick from more than 50 tools to batch-edit your photos (exposure changes, resize, assign color profile, etc.), live-preview any of the changes and hit the "Apply to All" button.

The same goes for getting photos ready for Instagram; watermarking and shrinking for client previews; resizing and sharpening for uploading on the web… everything is possible with this powerful tool. And you can save any combination of these filters for later use at the click of a button.

Developing RAW Files

At the heart of ZPS, you'll find a fully refined RAW development module where you can manage camera and lens profiles, presets, exposure tuning, color corrections, local edits, as well as all the other tools that you'd expect in a professional editing program.

ZPS supports over 400+ cameras internally and has integrated support for external DNG converters to support any cameras with support still in development.

Feature-Rich Editor All in One Application

When there is a substantial adjustment needed, many photographers will launch a separate graphic editor, wait for it to load, then do what's required. In ZPS, a full-fledged bitmap editor is waiting for your creative touch; all within the same application. Inside ZPS you'll find layers, masks, dozens of filters, and other features that will empower you to do any edits that you deem fit.

Do What You Need, Exactly How You Need It--without Jumping between Programs.

There are many ways to do a job and everyone has their own style. But with ZPS, you will be able to cover everything with one piece of software for a single price. If you love your current software, you can still benefit from ZPS as you can use it with your current setup as the pre or post development portion of your workflow.

Special Offer for PFRE Readers

For a limited time, PFRE readers can save almost 50% on their first year of Zoner Photo Studio ($29/yr instead of $49/yr)

  1. You had me interested until your bottom line of a yearly fee. If the batching feature is faster then PS then it would be worth paying $150.

  2. @Brandon if I paid without this the very generous discount for PFRE members for 3 years worth use which should be when I retire. I would value it at that if it beats PS. I am planning downloading tomorrow and test it. I do have high expectations and will pay the next years subscription if it works for me as per what I have read.
