Presenting Entries For November PFRE Photographer Of The Month

Published: 16/11/2012
By: larry

The November PFRE contest is now closed.

What a fantastic bunch of entries! The jury has a difficult task this month.  The November theme was Open so everyone has entered their best shot. Check them out full screen click here or on the photo to the right.

The jury will have a winner picked by November 22. I'll then then post the points for each photo, juror comments and names of the entrants in the description field of each photo. The photos that get points will be available for viewing from November 23 through November 30.

As usual the voting process works as follows:

  1. Each juror has 10 points to cast in the voting.
  2. Some jurors prefer to cast all points on one entry while others prefer to vote for more than one entry. Jurors can use their 10 points to vote for up to 3 entrants splitting their points (votes) up any way they like.
  3. If there is a tie I will cast 10 points to break the tie.
  4. Jurors who have entered the contest do not vote.
  5. Jurors can make comments on one or more of the entries for educational purposes or to just say why they liked or didn't like a photo.

Feel free to join the PFRE Photography of the Month group and make comments on or flag your favorites.

Note that even though the flickr slide show in this post is Flash, mobile readers that don't have Flash can click on the photos on the left side-bar under the title "Monthly Contest Entries" this will bring up a non-Flash slide show.

Note that next month (December) we'll be voting on which of the 11 monthly winners will win the PFRE Photographer of the year.

  1. Amazing pictures. As a real estate agent, when I look at the pictures I compete against on my MLS system I think I am doing pretty good. When I look at these best-in-the-world pictures I know that I have a long, long way to go.

  2. @Kevin- The winner of the contest will typically give some fairly extensive information on how they created the shot from a lighting and post standpoint but we don't try to track that level of information.
