Last Call for PFRE Conference 2019

Published: 13/11/2019
By: Brandon

I can't believe we're already in the middle of November! The past six months have been a rollercoaster to say the least! There have been some significant challenges and plenty of wins along the way. We've been fortunate enough to assemble a stellar line up of speakers and just hit the 300 mark for attendees who will be joining us from ten different countries, five Canadian provinces, and almost every single US state. Simply amazing!

While registration will be open until November 20th, badges and lanyards are going to print very soon so I wanted to reach out once more and urge anyone who's considering attending to take a chance and pull the trigger. Over and above the education and networking opportunities, the amount of inspiration and encouragement surrounding this event will be second to none. You never know how one point made by a speaker or one conversation had over lunch could impact the trajectory of your career and your life.

I hope to see you all in Las Vegas next week for the first-ever PFRE Conference!

*Note* Attendees who register after November 13th, will not have their names printed on their badges.

  1. Thanks for all your hard work Brandon.
I’m confident this will be a stellar event and something we will all look back on and smile.

    See you next week.

  2. I'm really looking forward to this! Especially upon hearing on a recent Shooting Spaces episode (thanks Rich) that many of the speakers will be focusing on the business and inspiration aspect. All of us work hard to hone our technical chops, but being good business people is often a bit more nebulous and always more complicated.

Lookin' forward to trading some stories over beers!

  3. Hi Brandon, I'm looking forward to the conference and especially the opportunity to meet other real estate photographers. Often times, it feels like I work in a vacuum, not knowing any other photographers in my area. So I look forward to meeting up with some of them.
I must say that I congratulate you on organizing this first conference from such a remote location in northern Alberta! I hope to meet you in Las Vegas. (be sure to bring your shorts, flip flops, and sunscreen!)
    With best regards,

  4. Congratulations Brandon! 300 attendees is phenomenal for the first annual! Can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you’ve put into this. It seems like it was just yesterday we were up in Kelowna and you pulled me aside and said, “Hey, I’ve got this crazy idea...” Looking forward to personalizing this community which has meant so much to so many of us over the years. I still maintain that the fact your beloved Oilers are in town to play the Vegas Golden Knights the same weekend following the conference is NO coincidence! 🙂 Well played. See ya in less than a week, buddy!

  5. Brandon, I'm really excited to be participating in this first PFRE conference and very much looking forward to putting faces to all the names I've learned so much from in my very short tenure in the biz. Thanks for all your efforts!

  6. Well Done Brandon! It came upon us fast and so excited to see everyone, meet new photographers and hear from the great list of speakers. This was a monumental undertaking and you pulled it off! So it only gets better from here! Safe travels everyone!

  7. I was wondering if there would be any reason to bring a camera to the conference (other than for personal reasons)? I know Vegas casinos don't normally allow photography. Flying with photography gear, especially a tripod can be a pain, so I'm inclined to leave it home. Brandon?

  8. Brandon,

Sounds like a big success. I look forward to an incredible time. I prefer if I didn't win anything though. 🙂

  9. Ronald, I too am wondering what the etiquette around bringing a camera is. I would like to vlog from the event, but don’t know if that’s okay....Brandon?

  10. @Ronald

There won’t be much need to have a camera with you during the speaker sessions as recording/live streaming during the lectures will be prohibited since some of the speakers are sharing proprietary information. That being said, if you want to live stream/vlog etc. during any of the breaks, social time, party etc. that’s totally up to you, and I would encourage it. Most of the people I’ve talked to are planning to leave their gear at home and enjoy a bit of a break from being behind the camera.
