iFloorPlan - Another Service to Add to Your Offering?

Published: 05/03/2018
By: Brandon

Rob from iFloorPlan says:

iFloorplan offers a product that is the missing piece in the property marketing puzzle. Interactive floor plan tours give real estate shoppers the information they really need to decide whether or not to book a showing. They put the images into perspective and bring a floor plan to life.

See an Example here.

It is easy to create a simple and elegant interactive floor plan. Whether you use the default template or alter the layout to your liking, you'll have your interactive tour published in minutes. iFloorPlans can include your branding and your client's branding. You can deliver the same tour with or without branding. iFloorPlans are published in HTML5 so they show well on all devices and browsers.

Once your iFloorPlan is published, you have full control over it. You can edit it at any time and change anything about it. You can delete it when the property is sold or leased, otherwise, it will stay published for 365 days. A month before it expires, you can republish it for another year, free.

Pricing is straightforward. One credit is required to publish one iFloorPlan. Credits can be purchased one at a time or in groups of 10, 50, or 100, and get cheaper the more credits you purchase. We also offer subscription packages that make the unit price cheaper again.

10 credits cost $AU150.00 (That's currently about $US117.00). Full pricing is here. There are no monthly or annual fees. iFloorPlan is priced so you can add value with your images/floor plans and charge your client as you see fit.

iFloorPlan's flexibility allows you to create your own or your client's brand with coloured borders, text, and backgrounds; placement of floor plans and images; and placement of logos and navigation tabs for multi-plan properties. Each design you create can be saved as a template making it a snap to maintain consistency for your client.

Interactive floor plans is all we do. We focus 100% on this product to ensure support is prompt and personal. We are responsive and always courteous.

We believe YouTube/Ken Burns style videos offer nothing that images don't already. A virtual tour should deliver more information than an image slideshow. We think music and voice-overs mostly annoy end users. We think floor plans are the most useful document in a property deal. We think that the internet is about providing information to savvy people.

That's how we think because we are ordinary people who use the internet to find property for sale or rent from time to time, like everybody else. Most people only move a few times in their life and it's a stressful time. At iFloorPlan our goal is to help take the stress out of the buying process while showcasing homes to their fullest potential.

  1. I should have said in my post that iFloorPlan is completely free to try. 2 credits are in your account when you register. So you can play around with it, perhaps show a client or two the results of one of their properties in an iFloorPlan. Generally creating an iFloorPlan takes between 3 and 10 minutes, depending on how many images and how many floor plans you use.

If you would like a few more credits to experiment with, just get in touch. And please feel free to ask any questions.

  2. iFloorplan just turns your floorplan into an interactive to show the flooplan with the images. Its a great point of difference when competing for photography work if you can offer floorplans and interactives too.

Metropix and Floorplanner are on-line floorplan generators that work off a sketch. I sketch a floorplan on graphpaper to keep the scale correct, scan it and put it in a layer in Illustrator. Use the pen tool to draw in the walls. I have drawn a bunch of symbols and drag and drop them onto the floorplan. A three bedroom house takes about 30 minutes to measure and sketch and up to another 30 minutes to draw up. It takes a while to get started, but it gets faster and faster as you get used to it. I sell them to agents for $100 (AUD) or $140 with a site plan too. It adds 50% to my billing for each job - its well worth while getting into drawing floor plans.
