  1. Thanks, Larry! A couple of notes:

    1) We're actually giving away FIVE passes. Wahoo!
    2) We want to make sure everyone understands that this is NOT a video "contest" -- the quality of the video is NOT a factor. Camera phone videos of the crappy hand-held variety are A-OK. We just figured since this is a video series, we ought to stick with that format, y'know? What we're really looking for is 5 people who are perfectly "poised" to move their photography to the next level. I think these videos are pretty good; I'm very optimistic that this will jump-start a lot of people into better photography, and less post-processing. So, we want to hear what you will do with these videos -- how are you going to put this stuff to use? What's your story? The compelling stories will win. Creativity points will totally count.

  2. If my spoken English was any good I would totally participate :\ I could make it in other languages but I guess people wouldn't understand much.

  3. I don't see language or who is in the video restrained by the currently posted rules. I don't think that's Scott's point. If you're interested in in his video series, make some kind of video that says what you want to improve. You could speak any language (maybe have cards or subtitled translation), have your kid in the video saying "my dad/mom behind the camera wants to do ....", or make the video in a house that you're shooting actually showing what you want to improve. Be creative.

  4. Yep, what Shawn said! We're hoping that this giveaway will be a fun and creative project. There are no rules for content. Just get out and shoot something! Subtitle it if you don't feel like talking. Bokeh the crap out of it or shoot walk through style if you're shy about showing your face on camera. Just shoot something! Anything! 🙂
