Michael Yearout’s Quadruple Bypass Recovery Fund

September 4th, 2018

Michael Yearout, in Breckenridge Colorado, a long-time participant in the PFRE community had a quadruple bypass surgery about a month ago and can use some help.

Michael says:

A little less than a month ago, I had to have emergency quadruple bypass surgery. The recovery time is long and painful. 6 to 8 weeks before I can go back to work. As I am self employed, I don’t have any paid sick leave, vacation, or any other thing to make up for the lost income I would be making. But of course, the bills just keep on coming in–mortgage payments, insurance, gas, food, etc.

Here is Michael’s GoFundMe page where you can help him out.

Hope you are back on your feet soon Michael!

  • Thank you for sharing this Larry and Brandon. This blog and the people who support and follow it have become a community. And for those of us who have had the opportunity to meet each other through workshops and networking through PFRE, FB and Instagram even more so. It is very hard to ask for help even when you desperately need it…and we never know when it will be our turn. Thank you PFRE for being supportive. Best to you Michael!

  • Come on Everyone in the forum community! Only $1500 in 2 days? Please, Please dig as deep as you can… Just imagine yourself in this situation. If you are saying that you dont know him and he’s a stranger to you, well I dont know this guy either!!

Its bad enough having to go through a Quad bypass let alone having to stress over getting behind paying bills and then try to play catch up afterward. And most likely he has a 20% co-pay. I cant imagine what that would be on an operation like that. This should be at $10,000 the first day. I dont think that a target of $25,000 is too much to ask. And he really should be taking it easy once he goes back to work, so less money will be coming in then.

  • While I don’t contribute much in this comment section, I look forward to receiving my PFRE email everyday and learn so much from everyone. So, for that reason, I would be happy to contribute to Michael’s fund. Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery!

  • I hope you get well soon Michael.
