Shahid recently asked:

If you can tell me what is the best website to do site plans? I have seen few companies that do site plans. I want to know which is the best software that produces site plans.

I suggest that you look at Creating a site plan (a whole lot layout) is essentially the same as creating a floor plan. The best way to do it is to make a sketch on graph paper, scan it to a PDF, and send it to They can digitize it and build it into a tour with your photos. Also, if you want to add this kind of service to your regular products, they can set you up to be able to provide floor plans and site plans as a regular service.

  • Not sure if there are any differences between US and UK requirements, but in the UK Metropix are one of the main providers. You can either use their software and draw the plans yourself, or pay extra and have them draw the plan for you:

  • Good reply from Larry on this question, but it’s expensive and time consuming. We use MagicPlan and for $9.95 a month, you can make all the 2D or 3D floor plans of homes that you want.

It’s an app and it works great on your iPad Pro or iPhone.

Just tap the app, and follow the voice instructions. You aim your camera with a live preview of the room as you line up the corners of each room. Click the corners of the floor. The voice says now point your device at the ceiling, rotate 90° clock wise and repeat. This technology is a lot like the expensive photogrammetry and LiDAR tools that are built into Matterport cameras. is the site to visit. The app is free and you can get it from the Apple Store. Once you get it, make a sample floor plan and if you like it, just give them $9.95 a month and create all the floor plans you want.
