pfreVOYCongratulations! Hamish Beeston, Bristol, UK has been voted the PFRE Videographer Of The Year 2014 for his outstanding video of Queens Court in London. Since all of the videos from this year are world-class the voting was very close!

Here are the jury voting results:

  1. 84 pts, Hamish Beeston, Bristol, UK
  2. 80 pts, Patrick Kerwick, Santa Fe, NM
  3. 78 pts, Travis Rowan, July, Maui, HI
  4. 52 pts, Jacob & Jamie McNeil, Vancouver, BC
  5. 48 pts, Travis Rowan, Sept, Maui, HI
  6. 42 pts, Anders Carlson, Kailua Kona, HI

I'd like to thank everyone for their participation in the video contests this year. Thanks to the jurors for the time they have put into judging these videos and thanks to all the entrants for putting up with our growing pains in getting a video contest started.

Hamish says:

Wow. Thanks Larry. What a lovely surprise! And what an honour in such company.
I really enjoy the PFRE monthly video competition as I find it's all too easy to work in isolation with no measure of how you are doing, except from clients who tend to love seeing their property on film, however you shoot it.
Discovering the PFRE video community earlier this year has been really important for me and my work as a source of ideas, inspiration and constructive criticism. I've lost count of the number of shooting angles / techniques that I have picked up from here. I hope I have contributed in some small way too.
Huge thanks too the judges who voted for me this year and huger thanks to Larry for making it all happen!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  1. Great work Hamish and so well deserved. The balance of your video is spectacular. Your visuals are flawless and your audio crisp. And more importably, you told a sequential story that was so appealing to watch. Congratulation to all - you're all winners for just making the cut. Cheers to creativity and progress is 2015.
