Snapheal 2.0: Remove Stuff From Images Fast!

September 26th, 2012

Normally I don’t talk about apps that don’t run on both Windows and Mac but this little $7.99 Mac app that was updated to version 2.0 yesterday is so cool I can’t resist. The app is called Snapheal 2.0 by

Snapheal 2.0 will remove home owners cars from the driveway, junk from the yard, dishes from the sink, all those photos and kids drawings from the fridge in a snap. Sure you can do it with Photoshop but this little app feels like the whole process goes faster than cloning. You just paint over the object you want to remove and bam, it’s gone.

The other thing I like is it supports the Retina display on  the new MacBook Pro.

  • And I am sitting here with a pc.

  • Amazing what this piece of software will do. Seems so easy to do the most mundane tasks.
Do you know if there is any intention of porting this over to the PC platform? I would buy it in a second. Larry, could you possibly look into this and keep us informed.
    Thank you in advance

  • Will have to test this one!

  • I Can’t say I’m too impressed with this one.. Look at where the top of the the Light poles were. I’ll stick to Photoshop for this task and save my money 🙂

  • Just downloaded and tried it. Not quite as good as lightroom or photoshop, but I guess if you were not using a suite of tools, this might be helpful.

I found that it was easier to heal straight from lightroom or take picture from lightroom to photoshop, fix it and bring it back in.

At its price Snapheal is very nice, but it not quite as accurate and does only one thing and I like to have all my corrections in only one or two software pieces.

  • I just downloaded the app – thanks Larry I think it works great. It is really simple, intuitive and easy to use for a fast fix.

  • It works quite well for removing small items
