Cooper-Colangelo Real Estate Photography Workshop: Las Vegas April 7-8

February 12th, 2017

Brandon Cooper, 2016 PFRE Photographer of the Year, and his mentor, Tony Colangelo (four-time PFRE photographer of the month) are pleased to announce the next Cooper-Colangelo Real Estate Photography Workshop, at the beautiful Red Rock Resort & Spa, in Las Vegas, April 7-8, 2017.

This interactive and highly engaging workshop is aimed at giving you the knowledge and confidence to create great images – in less time.

This workshop will benefit:

  • Relatively new Real Estate photographers wanting to demystify the learning curve.
  • HDR shooters who want to make the move to off-camera flash once and for all!
  • High-volume photographers wanting to create better images while maintaining efficiency and profit margins.
  • Experienced shooters wanting to augment their brand with images that will entice high-profile clientele.

As many of you know, Brandon has built a thriving, high-volume real estate photography business (shooting over 1,000 homes per year.) He is known for his fast, effective lighting and quick, efficient frame compositing, generating interior design quality images that he delivers to his clients same-day.

Tony is a long-time contributor to the PFRE community. He is also a highly sought after business coach who combines a twenty-five-year history of coaching/consulting practice with many years’ experience as a senior business executive. He has a Master’s degree in Education and is an expert facilitator, having delivered countless workshops and seminars to thousands of people across Canada and the US over the past 25 years.

  • Might be interested, but checking the recommended hotel availability and it has no openings….

Might want to check that out

  • I signed up for it! Looking forward to meeting you Tony, and seeing you again Brandon.

Red Rock was all booked up, but even so, $500 a night is a little steep… I’ll be staying at the Element 5 minutes away and ubering there.

  • I attended Brandon and Tony’s workshop last fall in British Columbia and it was one of the most valuable investments I’ve made in my career to date. Both guys are really solid human beings and excellent teachers as well. There’s nothing quite like the value of up-close, interactive instruction from some very well-respected colleagues in our field. After feeling a little stuck in my progress, the workshop provided a quantum leap forward that I immediately noticed in my work. Plus, in this case, (some) of what happens in Vegas will NOT stay it Vegas. It will come home with you and give your photography a welcomed kick in the butt towards the next level!

  • I just checked out the Redrock on trivago.com and there is a flash sale on right now. In my experience these sales don’t last long but the prices are incredible.

Trivago.com always seems to have the best rates.

There are plenty of other great hotels in the area as well. If anyone needs help choosing a place to stay please don’t hesitate to reach out.

  • I found a $53 rate for the Red Rock Resort on amoma.com! I’m not sure how long that will last, though.

  • You only see the $53 rate mentioned above if you select 1 adult. This is still for a double room that sleeps 2.

  • Wonder how many will be in the class… doesn’t provide max attendee number. If it’s 50 people, won’t get much attention…

  • @Patrick – The last line in the post above says there are 20 seats.

  • I hope the next couple of months are really busy for me so I can afford to go. I’m already booked and paid for the NAB show in Vegas on the 24th of the month.

If you aren’t too fussy, the Fremont Hotel and Casino on Fremont St. is around $40/night (wi-fi is another $10) with NO resort fee. Lot’s of really awesome night photo opportunities right out the front door.

  • @Tony/Brandon, If I can’t afford the course, how about a meet and greet cocktail hour the night before? It’s not a terribly long drive from my house to LV.

  • For those not able to travel or cannot make the date perhaps a DVD version could be made available in the future?

  • Tony and Brandon’s workshop was a great experience last year. In a good way, they are like opposites when it comes to interiors photography. As you get to know them you’ll find Tony is EXTREMELY meticulous, like a classic Vivaldi symphony. Brandon is more direct, boom, get-it-done, like Back in Black by AC/DC. So the combination is perfect ????. But the best part was meeting all the others that were there and developing new friendships.

  • The ???? above meant to be a smiley face emoji! Looks like the form didn’t like that.

  • My photographer friend Amir and I just booked two workshop slots. We also reserved a pair of rooms at the Red Rock through Trivago/Amoma.com $53/room /night. We are looking forward to meeting Tony and Brandon as well as the other attendees. See ya in April!

  • A big thank you to everyone who has already registered, the response has been fantastic. This is shaping up to be a great weekend! Further to Roberts comment I have consistently been able to find very good rates at the Red Rock via http://www.trivago.com

@ken Brown – A meet and greet would be awesome, we’ll just need to touch base closer to April 7-8 to see if the logistics work.

Tony and I look forward to meeting all of you in April!

Michael and Tony, thank you for the candid feedback and kind words, much appreciated!

  • Unfortunately Brandon, after Tony’s brilliant analogy, I can’t stop picturing you in a full-on Angus Young school uniform, head-banging around a kitchen with a light stand in hand. That’s something I’ll just have to work out on my own I guess. 🙂

  • Hello to all … sorry for being late to the party here re: the comments. Like Brandon, I’m very grateful for all the interest being shown in the workshop … and, of course, many thanks to all those who’ve already registered! Can’t wait to see you all there in LV !!

    As for other comments:

@Jerry Miller – I hope you’re going to attend Jerry. As you can see from all of the follow-up comments, there are LOTS of great deals on hotel rooms. So please continue giving it some thought … would love to have you join us! 🙂

    @Brian – I hope you’ll join us, too!

@Michael + @Tony T. – Thank you both for your testimonials. It was so great having you attend our first workshop in Summerland, BC. Brandon and I are so pleased that you got great value from it and that your work improved after attending! Hey Tony, thanks for the reference to “Vivaldi” but believe or not, I’ve got a lot of AC/DC in me too!! LOL

And, no, Mike … I ain’t wearing the Angus Young school uniform shorts in LV or any other future workshop!!

@ Susan Pickering – Am so looking forward to seeing you there, Susan!

@Robert Boerner – Thanks for registering, Robert … am looking forward to meeting you and Amir, in-person!

  • @Matt Rosendahl – Hey Matt, sorry, I forgot to include you in my last note. Thanks for registering! I’m looking forward to meeting you in-person, after a number of years of commenting on each others photos on Flickr 🙂 See you soon!

  • Ok, so I signed up about the second day. Is there an Itinerary to tell me where to show up for the first event? The Red Rock is kinda a big place.

  • @Brad Barnson – Itinerary’s are actually going out later today, Thanks for the follow up! See you in LV
