Here are Brandon's comments:

Without a doubt, 2016 has been one of the most challenging, yet character-building years of my life both personally and professionally. There have been so many highs and lows that I can't begin to put into words what it feels like to go out on such a positive note.

I am so grateful for this amazing community and what it has done for not only my career but for raising the level of quality and professionalism in our industry across the board.

PFRE has become the global authority on real estate photography and has created a platform for like-minded professionals to come together, learn from one another, and encourage each other in my own unique creative endeavors.

I am forever in debt to my mentor and business partner, Tony Colangelo. His guidance and support have been invaluable in the development of my business. For those of you looking to take your photography to the next level, I encourage you to seek out a coach, mentor, or any other educational opportunities available to you. This is exactly what I did and it has proven to be the best investment I've ever made.

Once again, thank you to Larry for everything you do and for bringing together this community.

Cheers to a great 2016 and looking forward to an even better 2017.

Happy New Year PFRE!

  1. Congratulations Brandon! Your 2016 is sounds like a movie script! Glad to see you win a well-deserved Photographer of the Year as the final scene fades and the credits roll. I had an unforgettable time at your and Tony's workshop this fall. Thanks for all the incredible education. A real game changer for me! All the best wishes for an even better 2017! Happy New Year buddy.

  2. Congratulations Brandon, beautiful work. I love how natural all of your images look.
But, I truly love your comments. It takes a lot of humility to be able to thank and give credit to someone who has been a mentor to them. All of the contestants above show how beautifully they handle their photography.
I too want to thank Larry for this incredible site and his posts which I found years ago by accident. After reading all the issues and solutions our fellow real estate photographers encountered on shoots, I have truly learned to shoot real estate and Architectural assignments much better. I too would like to attend a RE seminar if there was one available in our area of FL.

I wish everyone a very happy and healthy new Year.

  3. Congratulations Brandon!!
To be photographer of the year requires hard work and a consistent workflow.
Thanks again for sharing your workflow with me at your Cooper/Calangelo workshop in Summerland last fall.
