Lighting Interiors Book Now Available In Hardcopy Form

January 19th, 2014

LightingInteriorsPostThe Second Edition of Lighting Interiors by Scott Hargis is now available in hardcopy. We are offering this option through lulu.com because people frequently tell us they would rather have a hardcopy than the e-book form. I understand totally. I have to say that after creating this hardcopy version I’ve totally fallen in love with it. It is 8.5 x 11″, spiral bound, full color throughout, printed on quality 80 lb paper with high-gloss 100 lb covers. It’s a beauty! It weighs 2.5 lbs. This is not something you can produce on your HP color Laser printer or InkJet printer.  This is a quality book.

But I should warn you that it costs $126 before taxes and shipping. The reason is:

  • It’s full color – It has to be, I created a black and white version and it looks like crap!
  • It’s 293 pages – more pages than the e-book because of blank pages to make the hardcopy layout work well.
  • It’s printed on quality stock – If you are into books it feels good!
  • It’s printed on demand. That is, we haven’t pre-printed thousands of them because the demand for a hardcopy version is not big enough for that.

So if you spend a lot of time with Lighting Interiors as I do I think you’ll like this form of the book. Oh yeah, I should also point out that this version doesn’t have a 30 day guarantee where we refund your money if it’s not what you expected like the e-book and purchasers of this book don’t get future updates like the e-book purchasers. This just works like a traditional book.

  • Wow, I’d love to have a copy but it’s a hundred dollars more that I can afford at this time. I’ll have to suffer through my PDF version but I can think of lots ways much worse ways to suffer! So far, I’ve used very little extra lighting in my photos and I’ve got my first high end homes coming up in the next couple weeks so my PDF version will be “dog eared” quite a bit this week 🙂

  • Definitely on my wish list, but I think I will print the ebook and live with that for a while.

  • 2014 will be a great year for me. I can definitely afford this and will be a happy customer.
