Checkout Mike Kelley’s Great Article At Fstoppers.com On Julius Shulman Images

October 15th, 2013

JuliusI’m a big fan of Julius Shulman! I done a bunch of posts about him in the past. For those of you that haven’t followed Julius Shulman, he is one of the best and most famous architectural photographers who died in 2009 at the age of 98.

Mike Kelly posted an outstanding article today over at fstoppers.com that analyzes three of the most famous images of Julius Shulman:

  1. The Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, CA
  2. The Stahl House
  3. Cliff May Home

This is a long article but it’s well worth your time. Great job Mike! Thanks to Chet for pointing out Mike’s article.

  • I’m a realtor but my heart is behind the camera. That video is an inspiration and a motivation to keep evolving. Great post Larry.

  • Larry,

Thanks so much for the kind words and the shout-out! I really appreciate it. I’m glad you enjoyed the article and I hope everyone else who reads it will learn something. I’ll try to do some more similar articles in the future!

  • Yes, thank you Mike for your enlightening FStoppers article. I was familiar with a couple Shulman images, but never knew that he composited shots. And the story about his “imported landscaping” was pretty funny.
