Elegant Architectural Images From Nanaimo

November 15th, 2010

Back in July of 2010, I did a post on how Alberto and Mia Dominguez were finding that their hard work in building their real estate photography business in Nanaimo, BC was paying off.

Mia just sent me a link to their new website that they are launching. What a stunning set of images! Very impressive! Alberto and Mia’s work is a good example of how by starting out in shooting real estate you can raise the level of your craft well above what you usually see in real estate photography.

Mia says their new site is hosted at www.photobiz.com. Photobiz.com provides many template options that can be customized to meet your needs. Mia says they have outstanding customer service. Their new site looks good to me on every platform and browser that I’ve tried. There are some very minor issues when viewing on the iPad that have to do with sizing the images.

As I told Mia, I’m amazed by the number of elegant properties in Nanaimo. Nanaimo has really blossomed since the last time I’ve been there sailing from Seattle through the San Juan and Gulf Islands to Vancouver. It used to be a sleepy little town with not much happening. Alberto and Mia’s images show that has obviously changed. I’m anxious to go back soon.

  • Stunning site – equally stunning work. I really like how Alberto and Mia don’t “over tungsten” many of the spaces they shoot (i.e. white lamp light looks like white lamp light). I could learn a lot of the Dominguez’.

  • Love their work!
    Haven’t met Mia yet but Alberto is awesome!

  • I actually work for PhotoBiz in sales, and have my website with them. My PhotoBiz website is ranked on the first page of Google under the organic search “Real Estate Photography.” We have over 90 templates to choose from, and you can switch your template at any time, at no extra charge. We have a number of exciting products we’ll be launching next year as well.

  • music = no
    flash = not so great
    pictures = great.

    Seriously though the music. I was listening to something earlier today it was super quite… I forgot I had the volume up. When I went to the site I jumped out of my seat. I instantly closed the window. I had to turn my sound down then go back to your site. The sound control was to hard to find quickly when the sound is that loud. I really hate the music.

    Aside from the issues with accessibility in terms of a flash site it is nice clean and elegant. The photos are great.
