  • Some contradicting points given by Mike in regards to video and real estate:

    - first off he talks about having the agent in the video for marketing purposes and this being a good idea.
    - he then later goes on to say that videos that are too long tend to lose the viewers attention and they wont watch the whole thing.

    The point here is that agents might think being in the video helps market them but in most cases it actually hurts the video itself by taking up valuable “viewer attention time”. I would bet that the ideal length of a video would be between 1:30 and 2 minutes, anything more than that is risky unless its a very large estate or a condo that has alot of amenities to show. Having the agent in the video would take up probably about 30 secs, and that valuable 30 seconds should be used to showcase the house and not the agent…..that is what the agent was hired to do.

    If the agent wants to showcase themselves they should be at the end of the video with a “thanks for watching” clip or something along those lines.
