Signs of Real Estate Market Recovery In San Francisco
March 28th, 2009
My friend Jennifer who is a Realtor in Seattle sent me this TV clip from KPIX Channel 5 in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. This is the first positive story I’ve seen about the real estate market for a long time. Trends frequently start in California for whatever reason so this is encouraging. I’ll be more encouraged when I hear that this is occurring in other markets as well.

San Diego County has some areas picking up because of the low mortgage rates, and in some areas the large number of high income households (still with jobs).

We do see multiple offers for 300K to 600K houses in Silicon Valley. One of our client just got her offer accepted when there were total 10 offers (we lost 3 times before this one).

I just talked with a Realtor in San Diego, he said that things were picking up. Good news for all of us. Lets hope its a sign of things to come for the rest of the nations real estate markets.
