Listen To NPR Story on Julius Shulman
March 26th, 2009
Thanks to Clark Dugger for pointing out that National Public Radio had a wonderful little piece on Morning Edition recently on Julius Shulman. You can listen to the whole story by just clicking on the “Listen now” link. I love the quote by Shondell Spiegel who hired Shulman to come shoot her home. She characterizes Shulman’s work: “He makes you see what you take for granted. And we do that in our houses. We do that in our marriages. We do that with our children,” says Spiegel. “He has ability to stop time and let you see it and to remember why you fell in love with it.”

“He has ability to stop time and let you see it and to remember why you fell in love with it.” This is exactly why the still image is so powerful.
