Some Interesting Links

December 14th, 2008

In the last few days I’ve come across some interesting tidbits:

  • A reader pointed out neustep.com and webwalk.com to me. This virtual tour product is a variation on 360 technology. I could get more excited about if they were higher quality. This technology has been around for a number of years. Originally it was done in Shockwave but it now has been converted to Flash.
  • John Nack had an interesting preview of “Infinite Images” technology that can create a virtual tour from a large collection of still photos. Now I could get excited about this!
  • Watermarktool.com is a free site that water marks photos. No user registration is necessary to use Watermarktool. Also, the service is completely free. Since January 1, 2008, over 28,000 watermarks have been generated.
  • Back in November, DxO labs, the company that makes DxO Optics Pro, launched  DxOMark.com a site that has camera sensor and image quality data for over 45 of the top DSLRs.
