Version 2.0 Of Photography For Real Estate E-book Released
October 27th, 2008
I just finished sending out download links to everyone that has purchased my Photography For Real Estate e-book. If you purchased the e-book and didn’t get a download link for the update look in your e-mail spam folder. The download mailing list is automatic so everyone that has ever paid for a e-book was sent a download link to the same e-mail that was used to purchase the first edition of the e-book.
Here’s what’s new in version 2.0:
- I’ve moved the book to Adobe InDesign. This allows better control of the type layout and design of the book. This allows the PFRE 2.0 PDF file to be smaller than the first edition even though PFRE 2.0 has almost 30 more pages.
- I added Chapter 6 – Pole Aerial Photography. I feel this is a key subject for real estate photography.
- I added Chapter 13 – 360 Images For Real Estate Photography. I get a lot of questions on this subject and shooting 360 images a personal passion of mine.
- I rewrote the chapters on choosing a camera, Lighting and shooting interiors. These changes are mostly refinements.
As I’ve mentioned in earlier posts, I’ve decided to make my e-books much like a subscription in that once you purchase the e-book you get all future updates. This seems like a much more effective way to distribute a book like this where the technology, techniques and the market is changing.
For version 2.1, I’m working two more chapters in work, a chapter on Lightroom applied to the real estate photography workflow and a chapter on HDR and Exposure Fusion. My goal for version 2.1 is to release it by the end of the year.

Thank you, Larry, for the update! I’ve downloaded and printed it out on my laser printer and put it in a binder with BFREP. I carry this along with me when I go on a shoot for reference.
Great update on HDR and virtual tours which I desperately needed!

Well done (again) Larry.
If you are new to PFRE and reading this thread – BUY THE eBOOK!
Not convinced, eh? I’ll give you two reasons:
1) Accurate info covering the key components of PFRE
2) The purchase supports Larry and lets him continue to support us!

I want to thank everyone for all the positive feedback on version 2.0 of the PFRE e-book. The updating of my two e-books has become a labor of love for me. The real estate photography world has changed significantly since last Oct when I originally released the first edition of PFRE.
Besides the significant updates in this release the process of releasing an update to the book is new and I wanted to make sure the process works well for future updates. With the exception of spam filters taking out the download link emails, the process works well.

Top job Larry!!!
Any new members… this is a must!!!
To think back to Oct last year and the changes and advancements I have received through this site can hardly be described in words. This book sums the year up.
