Survey Shows How Much Agents Spend Per Listing

Chicago, June 12, 2008VHT, Inc., a leading provider of visual marketing services, has released the results of its exclusive survey of agents‘ and brokers’ marketing activities. With more than 1,300 respondents, the survey provides a national, look at how real estate professionals, in the US, allocate marketing dollars for print, television, direct mail and online marketing activities.If you are a real estate photographer out there marketing to agents you’ve probably pretty much figured much of this out, but hard data to base your marketing on is always a benefit. This survey provides data to confirms the real estate photography marketing plan that I describe in my e-book, The Business of Real Estate Photography: Market to the top ten percent of agents that are listing the upper-end homes because they are spending more money on marketing and understand the importance of good photography. The survey indicates they’ve been in the business the longest.Another fact of note to real estate photographers is that the survey says, “90 percent of respondents said they used brochures and 88.8 percent said they used postcards to market their property”.
