Jerry- Yes, that's on my list for the next edition. Although, I think I'll just give this link:

http://www.asmp.org/commerce/legal/releases/custom_forms/customize.php?fname=PropRel

instead of creating one of my own.

Larry, I just thought of something, your ebook, "The Business of Real Estate Photography" has helped me immensely in setting up my RE business. Would it be possible for you to add a property release written for RE photography to it as an extra download?

To protect ourselves, we need to get a signed property release from the property owners. They own the rights to their property just as we own the rights to our photography. Our rights stop when we infringe on other people's rights.

Think of all the places our images are published to sell a home. Without the proper release we could get into a whole lot of trouble.

I personally don't ask homeowners to sign a release and I would not be comfortable selling images without one. Technically the photographer owns the image but an upset owner seeing their home in an ad or editorial spread can cause a lot of headaches.

It would be interesting to know how many RE photographers sell their images as stock and what their experiences are getting releases if any.

Personally, I do not care to work with Getty or Corbis. Stock photography use to be a way a photographer could make a decent and honorable living until they came along buying up most of the stock agencies and drove prices way down with royalty free images.

Just my opinion.
