Jeremy Esland’s Discussion of Tufuse Pro Experiments
May 25th, 2008
I wanted to highlight the PFRE flicker discussion thread that Jeremy Esland started explaining his experiments with Tufuse Pro. If you’ve been using any of the Enfuse/Tufuse products I think you will find Jeremy’s experiments very useful.
Thanks Jeremy for describing your experiments with Tufuse Pro.

I’ve struggled with HDR shooting, and generally been frustrated by it. I loaded up the TuFuse demo and simply had a go using some of my prior HDR attempts. All in all TuFuse is crying out for an auto-align feature, but generally it delivers everything I was hoping to get from HDR - mainly the blown out window issue dealt with and not needing a ton of lights.
I’m going to be experimenting with this more I think. I like the natural look it gives.
The interface is “designed by engineers” (to be kind), but basically functional and simple to use too.

I’m with you Athol, TuFuse looks promising. I’m going to give it a shot myself. But I’m still going to shoot with lights, the more options the better. I shoot HDR, Strobes, and ambiant. Sometimes I’ll blend all three together to get the results I’m looking for.
