Alan Cole recently left a comment on a HDR post that I did last December where he left a link to a tutorial that describes his technique for doing HDR for his real estate photography. I thought it was interesting enough to post where more people will see it.

The best document I’ve seen with the proper mix of theory and practical application is:

It is now a little dated, published in July 2006. For example, you don’t need separate RAW conversion software. Photomatix Version 2.5.1 handles RAW files directly making the process even simpler. I am also searching for the right time to “do” color balance. I’m not sure if it should be before or after shooting RAW. The above referenced document says to leave your camera on auto. However, he is an “out doors” shooter. I also don’t know why a plain “white” sheet, either cloth or paper, doesn’t make for an OK color balance tool.
